On Saturday 26 May, we are planning to do the 20 mile Pink Ribbon Walk in Petworth in aid of Cancer Research.  As some of you may remember we took part in it last year and raised £350 with the help of the children, colleagues, friends and family.  We are hoping to beat last year's fantastic total!

Next week (week beginning 14 May) we will be running a healthy tuck shop in the playground every playtime.  All snacks/drinks will cost 40p.  On Friday 18 May we are having a "Wear Your Trainers to School" Day with a donation.

For the first time Redlands Primary School is holding a Summer Fayre on a Saturday!  It is going to be on the 23rd June and there will be plenty of fun stalls and activities!

On Thursday 1 March between 9am and 9.45am Friends of Redlands are holding a coffee morning so please come along to find out how you can get involved!

Congratulations to Miss Cripps, Class 2 teacher, who has been elected as the schools new staff governor.  We are sure she will be very valuable to the governing body, with her vast knowledge and experience proving very useful at our meetings. Commiserations to Miss Housiaux who came a very close second!!

Well done to Tabitha, Erin M, Lucy H and Allegra in Year 6! They held a bake sale earlier this month and have raised an amazinbg £94.88 for Cancer Research and the Stubbington Ark.

Many thanks to all of the parents and children who bought a cake! Also, many thanks to Mrs Strand who offered to help the children.

We will be holding a meeting for parents on Tuesday 7th February about the upcoming SATs tests during the week beginning the 14^th May. During the session, we will discuss different strategies you can use to help support your child in Maths and English and how they are taught in school. In addition to this, we will also offer advice concerning useful websites and books you may wish to use with your child at home.
The meeting will be held in the ICT suite at 3.30pm and 6pm. Both meetings will contain the same information.

Parents are welcome to come into school on Friday 10th February, from 1.15pm, to see their child's work. It is a fantastic opportunity for you to see what your child has been learning in school since September. You may take your child home early if you wish.

Reception classes will be holding an additional open afternoon on Wednesday 8th February - once again, from 1.15pm.
